The Education Student Teachers’ Association represents the interest of all students in the Faculty of Education at Lakehead University. ESTA is an association composed of an executive elected by the students for the students. The Education Student Teachers Association at Thunderbay (ESTA-T) dedicates our team to improving the well-being and experience of all students in the education program. Our team focuses on creating a culture of support and community among the students and mobilizing the change within the program that the students want to see. ESTA-T will establish annual events to provide the students with low-to-no-cost community gatherings, celebratory events, and a precise method to insight change within the program. We want to lay the foundation for future ESTA-T representatives so the ESTA team can consistently advocate for and provide for the students. ESTA executives will work cooperatively as an association, as well as with faculty and staff at Lakehead University, to ensure that all academic, social and charitable events proceed in a professional manner and in the best interest of all parties involved.
