About Great Lakes Surfing Club (GLSC)

The purpose of this club is to build a supportive community that connects students to each other, to themselves, and to the natural environment of the north shore. Surfing on the Great Lakes can be challenging to access due to limited awareness, experience, and availability of equipment. This club aims to educate and empower students by providing information, resources, and opportunities related to lake surfing. Through events, workshops, and group activities, we seek to bring together individuals who share a love for the lake and a passion for adventure, fostering a community rooted in respect for nature and each other.

As a member of this club, you will get to take part in the activities of the club, receive updates and mailings from the club leadership, and vote in club elections. If you need more information about GLSC and the kind of work it undertakes, you should contact Avery Annan at aannan1@lakeheadu.ca.
