About Google Developer Group on Campus Lakehead University (GDG-LU)

Google Developer Group on Campus Lakehead University (GDG-LU), formerly known as the Google Developer Student Club (GDSC), is a student-led initiative supported by Google Developers, open to students from any academic background, whether undergraduate or graduate. Established for the first time on the Lakehead University Thunder Bay campus, our main goal is to enhance the educational, social, and cultural environment by inviting students from diverse backgrounds to expand their technological knowledge. We aim to strengthen relationships between students and local communities by providing innovative solutions and promoting technological diversity. As part of our renewal application process for the Google Developer Student Club, we are committed to continuing our mission of fostering a thriving tech community at Lakehead University. GDG-LU will organize educational sessions, hands-on workshops, and collaborative projects centered on cutting-edge technology through a peer-to-peer learning approach. We will host a variety of events and activities throughout the academic year for all students, fostering a community of innovation and growth.
